1. Acceptance of Terms
By accessing or using MindScout ("the Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.
If you are creating an account on behalf of a child, you represent that you are the child's parent or legal guardian and that you consent to these terms on their behalf.
2. Description of Service
MindScout provides an AI-powered CAT4 (Cognitive Abilities Test) preparation platform for children aged 6–17. The Service includes practice tests, an AI tutor (Atlas), progress reports, and admission probability estimates.
MindScout is an independent preparation tool. We are not affiliated with, endorsed by, or connected to GL Assessment, the publisher of the CAT4 test. CAT4 is a registered trademark of GL Assessment.
3. User Accounts
You must create an account to use the Service. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials and for all activities under your account.
You agree to provide accurate and complete information when creating your account and to update it as necessary. We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms.
4. Subscriptions & Payments
MindScout offers a free starter test and paid subscription plans (Sprint Pass and Season Pass). Paid plans provide access for the specified duration from the date of purchase.
All payments are processed securely through Stripe. Prices are displayed in your local currency based on your region. Subscriptions do not auto-renew — when your plan expires, you can purchase a new one.

5. Right of Withdrawal (EU Consumers)
If you are a consumer residing in the European Union, you have the right to withdraw from your purchase within 14 days of the date of purchase without giving any reason.
To exercise your right of withdrawal, you must inform us by a clear statement (e.g. an email to <email/>) of your decision to withdraw from the contract. You may use the model withdrawal form below, but it is not obligatory.
If you withdraw, we will reimburse all payments received from you no later than 14 days from the day on which we are informed of your decision to withdraw. We will use the same means of payment as you used for the initial transaction.
Important: If you request that the digital content be provided immediately upon purchase and you acknowledge that you thereby lose your right of withdrawal, no refund will be issued for content already accessed.

6. Intellectual Property
All content on MindScout — including practice questions, AI-generated explanations, software, design, and branding — is the intellectual property of MindScout or its licensors. You may not copy, modify, distribute, or create derivative works without our written permission.
Your educational performance data and progress reports belong to you. You may export or delete your data at any time through your account settings.
7. Acceptable Use
You agree not to:
- Share your account credentials or allow others to access your account.
- Attempt to reverse-engineer, decompile, or extract the source code of the platform.
- Use the Service to develop competing products or services.
- Use automated tools (bots, scrapers) to access the Service.
8. Educational Disclaimer
MindScout provides practice materials and score predictions based on your child's performance data. Our stanine predictions and admission probability estimates are statistical models and should be used as guidance only.
We do not guarantee admission to any school. Actual CAT4 test results and school admission decisions are determined by GL Assessment and the respective schools, over which we have no control.
9. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, MindScout's total liability for any claims arising from or related to the Service is limited to the amount you paid for the Service in the 12 months preceding the claim. We are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages.
10. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms of Service from time to time. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated terms. We will notify you of significant changes via email or a prominent notice on the platform.
11. Governing Law
These terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Germany. Any disputes shall be resolved in the courts of Germany.
